Poling Around Studio Instructors

  • Davita

    [she/her]

    POLE DANCE

Davita has been pole dancing since 2020 and has taught pole dance since March 2022.

Davita has been dancing since she was 8 years old and has a diverse dance background, with experience in ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, contemporary and Irish. She has even taken master classes with the American Ballet Company and Alvin Ailey Dance Company.

Davita teaches pole from Intro to Pole Express to Pole 2.

Davita’s favorite thing about pole dancing is how it makes her feel. Strong, sexy and flowy. Her favorite style of pole dancing is anything with basework/low flow.

  • Kirstin

    [they/them]

    POLE DANCE & CHAIR

Kirstin has been pole dancing since 2016 and has been teaching pole and chair dance since 2021.

Kirstin teaches various classes from Pole 1 and Pole 2 to chair dancing and Swole on the Pole.

Kirstin is on a mission to move like Magic Mike! They enjoy pole dancing as a creative way to build strength and move their body. The biggest piece of advice Kirstin has for new polers is that pole progress is not always linear and the pace is different for everyone.

  • Angelica

    [she/her]

    POLE DANCE

Angelica has been pole dancing since 2014 and teaching pole dance classes since 2021. In 2016 she won the novice division Capital of Texas Aerial Championships pole competition in her one-and-only stint as a competitive pole dancer. While she doesn't compete anymore (it's much more fun when dance isn't competitive!), Angelica still loves performing and helping others prepare to perform as well.

Angelica teaches pole from Intro to Pole Express to Pole 2.

Angelica's favorite thing about pole dance is the unique combination of creative expression through dance and the opportunity to showcase and build one's strength. The biggest piece of advice she has for prospective students is not to underestimate yourself! Strength is not a prerequisite for pole dancing; rather, strength is built through pole dancing. So don't let worries about not being "strong enough" stop you from trying pole!

  • Ashlin

    [she/her]

    YOGA

Ashlin, a lifelong dancer, found her passion in ballet, contemporary, modern, and femme hip-hop styles. Ashlin was involved in a pre-professional ballet company for 6 years, during which she was accepted and participated in summer dance intensives with the American Ballet Theatre and Chicago Ballet. Holding a minor in dance, she choreographed over 20 pieces during college, serving in leadership roles within the dance organization.

Ashlin moved to New Haven, CT and in 2020 found herself looking to yoga to find peace and centering. She began her yoga practice exclusively by way of online yoga classes! Inevitably, she felt called to learn more about the incredible history of yogic philosophy and practice, and earned her RYT-200hr yoga teacher certification through the Breathing Room.

Now pursuing her PhD in Clinical Psychology in Lincoln, NE, Ashlin continues to teach yoga, emphasizing body wisdom and compassion. Off the mat, she enjoys hiking with her dog Maggie and fiance, Jack.

  • Sage

    [she/her]

    POLE DANCE

Sage was a dancer through high school and college, specializing in hip hop, jazz, and pom. She started pole dance in the Summer of 2022 as a way to continue moving in a creative and expressive way.

Sage joined us as an instructor in October 2024, and she teaches Intro to Pole and Pole 1.

Sage’s favorite thing about pole dance is the combination of beauty and strength in the way we move, and that there are moves that everybody can accomplish no matter how far along into someone’s like journey they are!

  • Courtney

    [she/her]

    POLE DANCE

Courtney has loved dancing since she was young and discovered pole dance in 2022 after being inspired by incredible videos on social media. She was drawn to the unique challenge and artistry of pole, and it quickly became a passion.

Courtney joined us as an instructor in October 2024, and she teaches Intro to Pole and Pole 1.

Courtney’s favorite thing about pole dance is that it’s a fun, full-body workout that keeps her engaged and excited every week. Pole has helped her step out of her comfort zone and feel confident in her own skin, and she loves sharing that experience with others.

  • Corrie

    [she/her]

    POLE DANCE

Corrie has been a lifelong dancer. She discovered aerial in 2018 and pole and floorwork in 2019, when she was 42.

Since 2021, she has taught pole at Omingbird + AirPop Aerial Co-Op (Omaha) and Movin' Up (Lincoln).

Corrie's focus is on making movement fun for students at all levels (and herself). She loves freestyle, static rotations, doing fun inverts and experimenting with new ways to approach familiar moves.

  • Jessica

    [she/her]

Jessica has been poling for over a decade and performs with the Norsefyre Traveling Circus Troupe. Jess has also performed with ReKinection!
