FAQs

Learn more about frequently asked questions at Poling Around Studio.

  • All new pole students should start with our Intro to Pole Express class so that they get the proper foundation and pole technique training. After completion of your first Intro to Pole Express, we encourage students to sign up for our Pole 1 classes.

  • For pole dance classes, you should wear shorts - ideally shorts that expose the skin on the upper thighs, but if you’re just starting out it’s ok to wear any shorts that offer freedom of movement and make you feel comfortable and confident. You’ll also want to wear a t-shirt/tank top and sports bra (if applicable).

Exposed skin grip is helpful to stick to/grip the pole.

We normally go barefoot for beginning level classes.
