Class Etiquette

  1. Class Scheduling

Participants are required to sign up for classes in advance through our online booking system.

  2. Attendance

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled class to ensure adequate time for preparation.

Notify the studio of any late arrivals or cancellations.

The studio has 4 student poles and class size is a maximum of 8 students per class, with 1-2 students per pole.

  3. Dress Code

Wear appropriate pole dance attire for safety and comfort. Nips and bits must be covered at all times.

Do not put on lotion 24 hours before your class.

Remove jewelry and rings to prevent injury and damage to equipment. If you have permanent jewelry or a watch you would like to wear, you can use a sweat band or athletic tape to cover it.

Street shoes or heels are not allowed. There will be a designated spot to put street shoes upon arrival.

  4. Class Levels:

Participants are expected to attend classes that are appropriate for their skill level. See our class description on our website or contact us at info@polingaroundstudio.com.

Consult with instructors for level recommendations.

  5. Respect

Poling Around Studio reserves the authority to decline services, classes, and other offerings to individuals who exhibit disrespect toward fellow students and/or instructors. Such behavior will not be condoned and may lead to an exclusion from all activities at Poling Around Studio.

  7. Students are not allowed to practice any moves above their level. If policy is violated, students may be restricted and reviewed on a case-by-case basis. A first offense will result in a verbal warning. A second offense may result in automatic dismissal of classes as determined by management.

Class Policies

  1. Class Tardiness

Entry will be restricted five minutes after the start of the class.

Once the doors are secured, they will not be reopened.

We recognize that unforeseen circumstances can occasionally impact punctuality, but this policy is implemented to ensure safety.

Proper warm-ups are vital in injury prevention.

The Late Cancellation policy is relevant in such cases, and no exceptions to this policy are granted.

  2. Class Cancellation

Class cancellations are taken via our online schedule — Momence.

When you cancel your class with more than 4 hours notice, your session will be credited to your online profile for use at a later date (subject to expiration policies).

  3. Late Cancellation Policy

If you cancel a class with less than 4 hours notice, your session will not be credited back to your online profile.

  4. No Show Policy

By not showing up to your reserved class, you will lose your class credit and incur a $10 no show fee.

  5. Class Booking Cut-Off Policy

Classes can not be booked within 4 hours of the class start time. This policy allows adequate time for instructors to prepare and ensures an optimal experience for all participants. Please plan your bookings accordingly to secure your spot in a class.

  6. Waitlist & Standby

If a class is full, join the waitlist. Waitlist entries are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. If a spot becomes available, you will be automatically added, provided the class starts with more than 24 hours remaining. For classes starting within 24 hours, we will contact you to confirm your attendance. It is crucial to respond promptly; otherwise, we will move to the next person in line.

Upon successfully securing a spot from the waitlist, you will receive a confirmation email. By joining the waitlist, you authorize Poling Around Studio to charge your card on file if you are added to the class. Remember, it is your responsibility to remove yourself from the waitlist if it no longer fits your schedule.

  7. Class Minimum

Although rare, we do reserve the right to cancel class should our participants' minimum not be met. In the event the studio needs to cancel a session, your class credit will remain in your account.

  8. Studio Cancellation Policy

Poling Around Studio reserves the right to cancel classes due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather, illness, etc. Should the studio cancel a class, your class will be credited back to your online profile. Poling Around Studio will try to notify you as soon as a class has been canceled.
